Symptoms

When Report Commander attempts to send an email message, the email server rejects the connection with a message that TLS 1.2 is required. The exact message will vary depending on the mail server involved.

Cause

Older versions of Report Commander support only TLS 1.0 or 1.1. Recently many servers have stopped accepting these security protocols because they are insecure.

Resolution

Upgrade to Report Commander 2.7 or later. The latest version is available from the download page.

• Report Commander 2 users: Your license is valid for all 2.x versions of Report Commander, so no upgrade purchase is required.
• Report Commander 1 users: Version 1.x is no longer supported. You will need to upgrade your license to use Report Commander 2.
