Symptoms

When the adTempus Database Configuration Wizard attempts to install the SQL Server Express database engine, it reports the following failure:

SQL Server setup has failed with result 3010

Cause

SQL Server installation has succeeded, but result 3010 indicates that a computer restart is required.

Resolution

Close the Database Configuration Wizard and finish the main setup wizard. Then restart the computer.

After restart, rerun the Database Configuration Wizard from the Start menu. Select the option to use SQL Server Express and complete the wizard.
