Symptoms

If you use the "-suppressempty" option (to suppress processing of empty reports) on a report that has subreports, and the report returns no data, Report Commander may issue the following warning:

An error occurred while checking for report data. Processing will continue, but empty output may be produced. (Missing parameter values.: Missing parameter values.)

Report Commander will then create an empty export file.

Cause

This problem is caused by a bug in the Crystal Reports runtime that Report Commander uses.

Resolution

Report Commander has been modified to detect this problem and properly suppress processing for the empty report.
