Summary

When a Job Group is duplicated and the duplicate group is moved to a new parent group, the original group and its siblings may disappear from the Console.

More Information

This issue occurs in the following scenario:

1. You have a hierarchy of groups similar to this:

Root
+--Group 1
+--Group 2
   +--Group 2a
+--Group 2b
+--Group 2c

2. You then duplicate "Group 2a", creating "Group 2a Copy":

Root
+--Group 1
+--Group 2
   +--Group 2a
   +--Group 2a Copy
+--Group 2b
+--Group 2c
+--Group 3

3. You then move "Group 2a Copy" to "Group 1", intending to create the following hierarchy:

Root
+--Group 1
   +--Group 2a Copy
+--Group 2
   +--Group 2a
+--Group 2b
+--Group 2c
+--Group 3

4. However, when you complete the move operation, all groups under Group 2 disappear, leaving the following:

Root
+--Group 1
   +--Group 2a Copy
+--Group 2
+--Group 3

All groups under Group 2 have now disappeared from the Console.

Workaround

The missing groups and jobs have not been removed from adTempus, but the links between them have been broken, preventing them from appearing in the Console. If you restart the adTempus service and the adTempus Console, the groups and jobs will be visible in the Console. Note that restarting only the Console is not sufficient.

Status

This issue was resolved in adTempus version 3.0.
