Symptoms

If the adTempus Console loses its connection to a server (e.g., because the adTempus service is started), you will receive the message

The connection between the console and server "localhost" has been broken.

The Console will then collapse the node for that server, and show it as disconnected. If you subsequently resolve the problem (e.g., by starting the stopped adTempus service) and expand the node for the server, adTempus will prompt you to reconnect to the server and then will appear to reconnect successfully. However, if you select any job or other data in the Console, you receive the original error message again.

Workaround

To resolve this problem you must either close and restart the Console, or remove the server from the Console and re-add it.

This issue was resolved in adTempus version 3.0.
