Summary

When the Arcana Scheduler encounters an error, it logs the error to the system's Event Log. Whenever you observe erroneous or unexpected behavior in the Scheduler or in a scheduled program, you should check the Event Log to see if the Scheduler has reported an error or warning.

If you selected logging options on the Advanced tab when you set up your program, messages for the events you selected will also be written to the Event Log.

More Information

The Event Log is viewed using the Event Viewer, part of the Windows NT operating system. You can start the Event Viewer from the Administrative Tools group on the Start Menu, or by using the "Launch event viewer" command on the Scheduler menu in the Schedule Administrator.

After you start the Event Viewer, make sure the Application option is checked on the Log menu. Messages recorded by the Scheduler will read "Arcana Scheduler" in the source column.
