adTempus 3.0.5

Is there a way to trigger an email to the Notification Recipients when the job status is "Missed"? We had an instance where a problem with the OS on the server with adTempus caused a job to miss its normally scheduled run. The owner of this job doesn't want the job to execute when a scheduled execution is Missed, because the application this job affects may not be in the proper state any longer. However without a notification, they don't know when the job is missed. The customers would like to know when the job is missed so they can take recovery steps, and execute the job manually when they are ready.

Is there such an Event that adTempus can trigger on?

There's no option to get e-mail notification for missed jobs, but we'll be adding that in the next major release. In the meantime you can spot missed jobs in the Alerts node in the Console.

That's fine, and it's great to hear you are responding to customer feedback.

However, my reaction to your reponse is this: it's wrong to assume everyone has access to the adTempus console. I encourage your development team to think from the additional perspective of not having console access when adding features.

Thanks for the response.
