Configuring Incoming Email

Anyone with problem setting up an incoming email profile? I tried creating a profile to a gmail account and got the following:

Message Number: ADT005204E

Message: Could not connect to mail server imap.gmail.com: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. InnerException message follows: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

I have made sure IMAP is enabled on Gmail. I've tested the connection:port using TCPING64 and was not able to get a response. I tried both POP (995) and IMAP (993) and neither worked. 

Could it be that the connection is made without the required SSL encryption, thus rejected by Gmail?

I am currently running Server Version: 4.6.0.19239

Turns out the firewall was blocking access to Gmail. Once the proper policy was applied, it had no problem accessing. Duh!
