Symptoms

A job has a Schedule Trigger with a Holiday Set selected and one of the following holiday rules:

  • Run the job on the previous business day
  • Run the job on the next business day
  • Run the job on the previous non-holiday
  • Run the job on the next non-holiday

With this combination of settings, the job does not execute on the "makeup date" for a holiday.

More Information

For example, suppose that the job is scheduled to run on the 1st day of every month. It uses a Holiday Set that defines Saturdays and Sundays as holidays, and the "Run the job on the next business day" rule. For October 2017, the 1st falls on a Sunday, so the job should run on the 2nd. However, it skips this date and does not run until the 1st of November.

Note that triggers configured to run on the "nearest" business day or non-holiday behave as expected.
