Setup fails with error "ExportModeller.dll failed to register"

Symptoms

adTempus setup may display the following error message:

Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\2.7\bin\ExportModeller.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147010895. Contact your support personnel.

Cause

This error may occur if some Microsoft software components are not present on the target computer.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, download and install the Microsoft C++ Redistributable Package using one of the following links, then rerun the adTempus setup.
