Symptoms

When your job executes an "external" script (a script stored in an external file, rather than as a Script object within adTempus), the script may fail with a timeout error, even if you have not specified a maximum run time, or if the script has not yet executed for the specified maximum run time.

adTempus logs the following error message when the script is terminated:

Script execution failed: The script was aborted because execution exceeded the specified timeout period. (-2147467259)

This issue was corrected in a maintenance update released on November 3, 2008. See article K00000326 for information about obtaining this update.
