I'm new to this software.  I'm trying to start a batch file which is on our network.  When I setup the jobstep, I can browse to the batch file I want to run.  It however says that it can't find it when I run the job.  There must be sommething I'm missing.

This may happen due to using a mapped network drive. See the updated article K00000330 for more information.

I have often used an adTempus variable containing a UNC path, then used that in the job step path.

PROJECT_HOME=\\hostname\sharename

%PROJECT_HOME%\thescript.bat

On one sense, the path is hardcoded into the variable value. However, if all jobs in the project use the varaiable, then it only needs to be updated in one place.

I ran into this issue with importing a job from adTempus 3 to 4. I updated the batch job, but there was an inherited start directory specified that wasn't valid. I removed the start directory value and it worked.
